[English text below] DP Architects berkolaborasi dengan Kingsmen Exhibits membangun The Dream Sphere—Paviliun Singapura di World Expo 2025 Osaka. DP Architects merupakan salah satu biro arsitektur terbesar di Singapura dengan pengalaman hampir lima dekade di tingkat internasional.

Dalam paviliun rancangannya, DP Architects ingin merepresentasikan kualitas dan karakter masyarakat Singapura. Julukan Little Red Dot yang melekat pada negara ini pun menjadi inspirasi, sekaligus menandai hubungan diplomatis antara Singapura dan Jepang.

The Dream Sphere berdiri di atas lahan 900 m² dengan makna yang melampaui sekadar Little Red Dot. Lebih dari sekadar paviliun, rancangan DP Architects ini menjadi mercusuar aspirasi kolektif yang melambangkan masa depan lebih luas, positif, dan berkelanjutan dengan kemungkinan tanpa batas.

Prinsip 4R (Renew, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) pun diterapkan untuk meminimalkan emisi karbon. Mulai dari proses desain hingga konstruksi, termasuk dalam pemilihan material.

Sebanyak 20.000 dream discs berbahan aluminium daur ulang membungkus The Dream Sphere. Penyusunan modular cakram aluminium terinspirasi dari Ema—plakat harapan dalam budaya Jepang yang biasa digantung di kuil. Tak heran jika elemen ini menjadi focal point paviliun.

Sementara itu, pola fasad The Dream Sphere merujuk pada Seigaiha, motif ombak tradisional Jepang. Secara metafora, desain ini merepresentasikan energi dari seribu mimpi untuk masa depan yang lebih baik dan berkelanjutan.

Paviliun setinggi 17 meter dengan total luas 1.700 m² ini terbagi dalam tiga level instalasi. Pengunjung akan menikmati pengalaman multi-sensorial immersive exhibition dengan instalasi seni multimedia oleh seniman Singapura. Di antaranya Ashley Yeo, Jerrold Chong, Melissa Tan, dan Zul Mahmod.

Pengalaman dimulai dari area luar paviliun, yang mencakup Dream Clouds—lanskap perkotaan terinspirasi dari visi Singapura City in Nature. Lanskap ini menghadirkan berbagai lapisan tanaman untuk menciptakan ruang hijau yang merefleksikan karakter green streetscapes Singapura. DP Architects Presents The Dream Sphere: Weaving Singapore’s Dreams at World Expo 2025 Osaka 

DP Architects collaborated with Kingsmen Exhibits to build The Dream Sphere—Singapore’s pavilion at World Expo 2025 Osaka. DP Architects is one of Singapore’s largest architectural firms, with nearly five decades of international experience.

In its pavilion design, DP Architects aims to represent the quality and character of Singapore’s people. The country’s nickname, Little Red Dot, inspires the design and symbolizes the diplomatic ties between Singapore and Japan.

The Dream Sphere stands on a 900 m² site, embodying a meaning beyond just Little Red Dot. More than just a pavilion, DP Architects’ design serves as a beacon of collective aspirations, symbolizing a broader, more positive, and sustainable future with limitless possibilities.

The 4R principles (Renew, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) are applied to minimize carbon emissions, from design to construction, including material selection.

A total of 20,000 dream discs made from recycled aluminum envelop The Dream Sphere. The modular arrangement of these aluminum discs is inspired by Ema—Japanese wooden plaques inscribed with wishes, typically hung at shrines. It’s no surprise that this element becomes the pavilion’s focal point.

Meanwhile, The Dream Sphere’s façade pattern draws from Seigaiha, a traditional Japanese wave motif. Metaphorically, this design embodies the energy of a thousand dreams for a better and more sustainable future.

Standing 17 meters tall with a total area of 1,700 m², the pavilion is divided into three levels of installations. Visitors will experience a multi-sensory immersive exhibition featuring Singaporean artists’ multimedia installations, including Ashley Yeo, Jerrold Chong, Melissa Tan, and Zul Mahmod.

The experience begins at the pavilion’s exterior, which includes Dream Clouds—an urban landscape inspired by Singapore’s vision of a City in Nature. This landscape incorporates multiple layers of greenery, creating a lush space that reflects Singapore’s green streetscapes. Additionally, the pavilion introduces traditional Singaporean cuisine and innovations in the built environment.
