Terinspirasi dari teras pasir yang menjadi lanskap khas Nusa Penida, vila ini memancarkan ketenangan sekaligus keanggunan, memberikan pengalaman mewah yang imersif bagi para tamu.

Desainnya menaruh perhatian besar pada detail, dengan mengangkat inspirasi dari perkampungan nelayan tradisional dan sentuhan Mediterania. Bentuk arsitekturnya yang mengingatkan pada rumah nelayan lama menyambut pengunjung dengan kehangatan. Penggunaan tali sebagai material utama menjadi penghormatan terhadap tradisi maritim pulau, sekaligus menghadirkan narasi tentang ketangguhan dan keterampilan tangan yang tertanam dalam bangunan.

Membangun dekat dengan garis pantai tentu menghadirkan tantangan. Pemilihan material dilakukan dengan cermat agar kuat dan tahan terhadap kondisi pesisir. Sesuai regulasi, bangunan utama didirikan pada jarak yang aman dari pantai, sebagai upaya menjaga keseimbangan antara pelestarian dan pengembangan. Arsitektur ini memadukan teknik konstruksi tradisional dengan inovasi modern. Teraso, kayu, tali, dan beton berpadu membentuk komposisi tekstur dan warna yang berlapis, masing-masing menyimpan cerita tersendiri.

Vila ini tersusun dalam empat tingkat berbeda, menghadirkan zona-zona privat dengan sudut pandang unik terhadap lanskap sekitar. Teras yang disinari matahari memunculkan suasana tenang, sementara area lounge di tepi kolam menawarkan energi yang lebih hidup. Semua ruang ini membentuk dunia di mana kemewahan berjalan berdampingan dengan keaslian. Di jantung kawasan ini terdapat restoran utama, yang ditempatkan di bagian belakang untuk menjembatani ruang publik dengan area privat. Para tamu diajak memulai perjalanan kuliner sambil menaiki tangga, di mana cahaya menembus pola balustrade yang dilapisi tali dan menciptakan bayangan yang dinamis.

[Text provided by the architect] Nestled on the idyllic shores of Nusa Penida, Cactus Beach Club embodies the harmony between contemporary design and the island’s cultural heritage. Inspired by the sand terraces that shape Nusa Penida’s landscape, the villa conveys tranquility and elegance, giving guests a refined yet immersive experience of luxury.

The design pays close attention to detail, drawing from the island’s traditional fishing villages and Mediterranean influences. Reminiscent of old fishermen houses, the beach club welcomes visitors with warmth and authenticity. Ropes, used as a key material, honor the island’s maritime traditions while weaving a story of resilience and craftsmanship into the architecture.

Building so close to the shoreline came with challenges. Materials had to be carefully selected for strength and durability against coastal conditions. In line with regulations, the main structure stands at a respectful distance from the beach, reflecting a careful balance between preservation and development. The architecture blends traditional techniques with modern innovation. Terrazzo, wood, rope, and concrete merge to create a layered composition of textures and tones, each carrying its own story.

The villa unfolds across four distinct levels, each offering a unique perspective of the island. Sunlit terraces evoke a sense of calm, while the poolside lounge brings vibrant energy. Together, these spaces create a world where luxury is balanced with authenticity. At the heart of the property lies the main restaurant, positioned at the rear to connect the public realm with the intimate spaces of the beach club. Guests are invited to a culinary journey as they ascend the stairs, where light filters through rope-lined balustrades in shifting patterns.

Cactus Beach Club is more than a destination. It is a sensory journey, a celebration of life’s simple pleasures, and a testament to the enduring spirit of Nusa Penida.
