Villarci

[English text below] Terletak di dataran tinggi Bogor, Jawa Barat, Villarci merupakan vila yang luas dengan nuansa klasik. Sang arsitek merancangnya dengan menonjolkan keindahan alam sekitar dan memaksimalkan panorama 360 derajat yang menakjubkan—mulai dari Gunung Salak, pemandangan Kota Bogor, hingga bentang alam yang terbentang luas di sekelilingnya. Massa bangunan putih berbentuk persegi panjang dengan deretan arcade, berpadu harmonis dengan lingkungannya. Bangunan ini menjulang mengikuti kontur tanah, menjadi penanda visual yang khas di kawasan tersebut.

Arsitek terinspirasi dari gaya arsitektur favorit klien yang berasal dari akhir abad ke-18 hingga awal abad ke-19, dengan menampilkan beberapa ciri khasnya. Desain vila menyajikan interpretasi modern terhadap gaya klasik tersebut.

Tata massa bangunan mengikuti bentuk-bentuk dasar. Selain memberi kesan kontemporer, struktur putih dengan lengkungan besar juga meningkatkan sirkulasi udara, melindungi bukaan dari sinar matahari langsung, memberikan naungan saat hujan deras, dan menciptakan ruang luar yang nyaman untuk bersantai atau bersosialisasi. Elemen ini sekaligus menjadi titik fokus visual yang kuat di lanskap alami sekitarnya. Desainnya merespons kondisi tapak secara langsung dan mengaburkan batas antara fasad depan dan belakang.

Sementara itu, elemen batu alam berwarna hitam yang solid menjadi isyarat halus terhadap arsitektur kolonial Belanda di Bogor, sekaligus mengaitkan bangunan dengan latar alam tempat vila ini berdiri.

Meski memiliki bentuk persegi panjang yang tegas dan siluet yang dominan, lengkungan yang dihadirkan tetap terlihat mencolok. Jendela-jendela besar membantu menyeimbangkan kesan tegas dari struktur hitam-putih, sekaligus memberi nuansa yang lebih manusiawi dan ramah. Arsitektur Villarci mencoba menjaga keseimbangan antara menciptakan tempat beristirahat yang tenang dengan keterbukaan terhadap panorama indah dari segala arah.

Singkatnya, vila ini terdiri dari susunan lengkungan yang ditopang oleh struktur batu yang menyesuaikan kontur tanah miring di bawahnya. Setiap elemen bangunan ditata seperti teleskop, menghubungkan kontur tanah dengan massa bangunan lainnya, menciptakan sudut pandang yang berbeda di setiap titik. Keterlibatan pekerja lokal memperkuat hubungan antara proyek ini dengan lanskap Ciapus, melalui perpaduan beragam pengetahuan konstruksi. Proses kolaboratif ini melahirkan bahasa baru yang positif, memberikan rasa bangga, pencapaian, dan identitas bagi komunitas setempat.

Villarci

Located in the highlands of Bogor, West Java, Villarci is a spacious villa with a classic atmosphere. The architect designed it to highlight the natural beauty of its surroundings and maximize the stunning 360-degree views—from Mount Salak and the cityscape of Bogor to the vast, open landscape surrounding the site. A white rectangular mass with a row of arcades blends harmoniously with its environment. The building rises along the site’s contours, becoming a distinct visual landmark.

The architect was inspired by the client’s favorite architectural style from the late 18th to early 19th century, incorporating several of its key features. The villa’s design presents a modern interpretation of that classical style.

The building mass follows basic geometric forms. Besides giving a contemporary impression, the white structure with large arches also enhances air circulation, protects openings from direct sunlight, provides shade during heavy rain, and creates comfortable outdoor spaces for relaxing or socializing. This element also acts as a strong visual focal point in the natural landscape. The design responds directly to the site’s conditions and blurs the boundaries between the front and back facades.

Meanwhile, solid black natural stone elements offer a subtle reference to Bogor’s Dutch colonial architecture, while also grounding the building within its natural setting.

Despite its strong rectangular shape and dominant silhouette, the arches still stand out visually. Large windows help balance the bold look of the black-and-white structure, while adding a more human and welcoming atmosphere. Villarci’s architecture aims to find a balance between offering a peaceful retreat and embracing the panoramic views from all directions.

In essence, the villa is composed of stacked arches supported by stonework that follows the sloping terrain beneath. Each part of the building is arranged like a telescope, connecting the contours with other building masses and creating different viewpoints throughout the site. The involvement of local workers helped strengthen the relationship between the project and the Ciapus landscape by combining diverse construction knowledge. This collaborative process gave rise to a new and positive language, providing the local community with a sense of pride, achievement, and a stronger sense of identity.
