[English text below] andyrahman architect didirikan tahun 2006 oleh dua lulusan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Andy Rahman dan Abdi Manaf. Biro ini mengeksplorasi material murah, lokal, hasil recycle dan reuse, serta menerapkan arsitektur ketukangan pada karya-karanya. Inovasi-inovasi mereka dapat dilihat pada sejumlah karyanya, di antaranya Rumah Miring, Biophilic Boarding House, House as Tree of Life, dan I- House di Surabaya.

Karya-karya biro ini telah dinominasikan dalam beberapa penghargaan, seperti Ambiguity House sebagai nominator Architizer A+ Awards 2012 dan Biophillic Boarding House yang dinominasikan di World Architecture Festival 2016, Berlin, Jerman. Hasil rancangan mereka juga sudah dipamerkan di beberapa ekshibisi, seperti Sidoarjo Mud Volcano Research Centre yang dipamerkan di Indonesian Architects Week @ Tokyo (IAWT) 2011, Jepang, Windcatcher House di Indonesian Architecture Public Exhibition Belanda, 2012, dan Indonesian Architects Week @ Seoul (IAWS) 2017. Adapun publikasi yang memuat karya mereka adalah buku 15 Cerita Arsitek Muda (IMAJI Publishing, 2017).

Andy Rahman lahir di Surabaya, 1980. Ia menempuh pendidikan sarjana di Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya dan lulus dengan predikat ‘Tugas Akhir Terbaik’ tahun 2004. Sebelum membentuk biro sendiri, ia sempat membantu beberapa proyek perancangan.

Abdi Manaf adalah lahir di Jember, 1982. Lulusan dari Jurusan Arsitektur ITS tahun 2005 ini pernah bekerja di beberapa biro perancangan sebelum bergabung dengan Andy Rahman mendirikan biro andyrahman architect. Abdi Manaf juga sempat aktif pada fase awal Komunitas DeMaya (Desainer Muda Surabaya), tahun 2007-2010.

andyrahman architect was founded by two Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) architectural engineering graduates, Andy Rahman and Abdi Manaf, in 2006. This firm explores low-cost, local, recycled, and reused materials. They also apply architectural craftsmanship into their works. Their innovations can be seen in a number of their works, including Rumah Miring, Biophilic Boarding House, House as Tree of Life, and I-House in Surabaya.

Their works were nominated in several awards. Among them are Ambiguity House as a nominee for the 2012 A + Awards Architizer, and Biophillic Boarding House that is nominated at the World Architecture Festival 2016, Berlin, Germany. Their designs were displayed in several exhibitions, such as Indonesian Architects Week @ Tokyo (IAWT) 2011 (Sidoarjo Mud Volcano Research Center), Japan, Indonesian Architecture Public Exhibition 2012 in the Netherlands (Windcatcher House), and Indonesian Architects Week @ Seoul (IAWS) 2017. One of the books that published their works is 15 Cerita Arsitek Muda (IMAJI Publishing, 2017).

Andy Rahman was born in Surabaya in 1980. He took an undergraduate study at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Surabaya, and graduated with the title ‘Best Final Project’ in 2004. Before forming his own architecture firm, he already worked on several design projects.

Abdi Manaf was born in Jember in 1982. The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology Architectural Engineering graduate completed his study in 2005. He worked at several architecture firms before establishing andyrahman architect with Andy Rahman. He was also involved in the initial phase of the DeMaya Community (Surabaya Young Designer) in 2007 to 2010.
