[English text below] Ize Hotel dibangun di atas lahan seluas 1.800 meter persegi di kawasan Seminyak, sebelah utara Pantai Kuta. Lokasinya berada di tengah-tengah hiruk pikuk pertokoan, klub, serta kafé. Temperatur udara yang tinggi dan suasana yang bising menjadi masalah yang tidak dapat dielakkan di sini. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, Studio TonTon merancang hotel dengan suasana yang sejuk.

Di area publik seperti koridor dan lobi, mereka menggunakan cladding berpori sebagai solusi utama dari permasalahan yang dihadapi hotel lima lantai ini. Sirip GRC berukuran 60 cm pun dipasang pada rangka baja galvanis untuk menyaring panas matahari yang masuk, namun tanpa menghalangi aliran udara di dalam bangunan. Hal ini membuat nuansa hotel semakin menarik dan terus berubah, mengikuti pergerakan matahari. Selain itu, permainan warna juga menjadi solusi lain untuk menciptakan rasa sejuk di hotel. Biru muda – warna yang sering dikaitkan dengan dinginnya es – dipilih sebagai ciri pembeda diantara dinding hotel yang berwarna abu-abu.

Ize Hotel stands on a 1,800 sqm. area in Seminyak, north of Kuta Beach, in the midst of the uproar caused by the bustle of shops and blaring music from the clubs and cafes. The high air temperature and the raucous atmosphere became inevitable problems and so Studio TonTon attempted to combat this by designing a hotel with a cool atmosphere. For public areas such as corridors and the lobby, a porous building cladding was chosen as the main solution for the problems faced by this five-story hotel. GRC fins measuring 60 cm have been attached to galvanized steel frames to filter the heat of the sun, without obstructing the air flowing between the interior and exterior. These also create interesting and constantly changing shades, following the movement of the sun. Colour play is another solution that creates a sense of coolness in the hotel. Light blue, the color often associated with the coldness of the ice, is chosen as a distinguishing feature amongst the greyness of the hotel walls.
