Pondok Indah Hospital – Bintaro Jaya Become a Shortlisted at World Architecture Festival 2019

(Bahasa text below) Pondok Indah Hospital becomes a shortlisted at World Architecture Festival 2019 in Health – Completed Buildings category. This health facility is the only one from Indonesia in this category. Others selected project are from UK, Singapore, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, and many more. Pondok Indah Hospital – Bintaro Jaya was designed by Arkonin as its local architect, and Silver Thomas Hanley (STH) as its lead architect.

The hospital consists of seven floors with 34000 sqm building area. This building raises the concept of a green and homey building that is in harmony with the whole concept of the hospital, namely ‘getting better starts from feeling better’. The concept was chosen because the owner wanted the patient to feel comfortable despite being in the hospital and expected to be able to support the patient’s recovery process. In addition, various installations of the nation’s artworks also decorate several corners of the hospital room. One of them is the sketching of the little artist from the Drawing Competition for elementary students around Pondok Indah Hospital – Bintaro Jaya.

The health facility that began operating since April 2017 was also developed as a ‘smart hospital’. This is indicated by hospital services that are fully supported by digital systems and today’s technology. In addition, the information system is also integrated between each unit and other Pondok Indah Hospital.

The RS Pondok Indah – Bintaro Jaya architecture team will present their building design directly in front of international delegates and judges at the World Architecture Festival 2019 in Amsterdam. The winner of the WAF 2019 will be announced on December 2019.
